This is an extremely exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading community care providers. Thornbury Nursing Services are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to be part of a dedicated team caring for a young female adult with complex care needs, providing care at home and whilst she’s at school.
Our client has an undiagnosed genetic condition and has a tracheostomy to assist her breathing. She is dependent on full care. Her ongoing care needs include assistance with personal care and mobility and clinical care needs such as care of the tracheostomy, suctioning and gastrostomy feeds.
Full training in the client’s care needs will be provided and you will receive ongoing support from a Registered Nurse. You will be offered the offered the opportunity to work a variety of shift patterns, day and night 7 days a week.
Ideally we are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants with a background in working in complex care in the community. However we would also welcome applications from experienced Healthcare Assistants from other healthcare settings who have a desire to move into complex care within the community and who can deliver an outstanding level of care.
Key Role Requirements:
•Minimum of 6 months UK based healthcare experience in the last 3 years
•Eligible to live and work in the UK
•Ability to work on your own and as part of a team in a home based environment
•Be able to deliver high standards of family focused care
